Lots of Activity in the City of the Arts!

This past weekend was a momentous one for Winston-Salem, the "City of the Arts," because our community celebrated the opening of the new Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts.  Associated Artists had a nice presence at the weekend festivities, with artist demos and a booth staffed with volunteers.  A big THANK you to all of our volunteers and artists - including Jack Hernon, Connie Chesner, Ralph Calhoun, Joe Bircher, Kathy Fritz, Lee Reynolds, Scott Davis, Leslie Karpinski, Bill Gramley, and Suzette Sides to name a few!  You did an amazing job sharing with the public about Associated Artists!

To view more photos from this weekend, please view our album on Facebook!

Do you know that Associated Artists is open to anyone aged 15 and up?  Annual membership starts as little as $25 per year for students, and a general "Associate Membership" is only $55 per year.    There are advantages to becoming a member of our organization, ranging from discounted workshop fees to special exhibitions open only to members.  You can learn more by visiting www.associatedartists.org/membership-info

For all of you new members - we have scheduled a New Member Orientation on Friday, Sept 24, at 10 am at the Associated Artists Gallery (301 W. 4th St, downtown Winston-Salem).  This is your chance to learn about what AAWS has to offer - from community exhibits to volunteering on committees, from attending workshops to participating in exhibitions, come out to learn about AAWS and mingle with fellow members.   RSVP isn't required, but appreciated.
